What is HomeMapper Pro?

HomeMapper has two tiers: Free forever and Pro with a 7-day free trial.

Free

Free gives you HomeKit scanning, the device list with core columns, the room-based view, and the ability to switch between Apple Homes one at a time. No scan limits, no time limits, no ads, no trackers.

Pro

Pro adds the parts of HomeMapper that depend on more network access and more data:

  • Multi-protocol scanning
  • Places for each location
  • Topology map and mesh health
  • Home Assistant
  • Setup code vault
  • CSV export
  • All data columns in the device list
  • Protocol filtering
  • Backup and restore

There are two ways to buy Pro: an annual subscription with a 7-day free trial, or Lifetime Access as a one-time purchase. Current pricing for both is shown on the subscription sheet when you tap Start Free Trial or Get Pro. You can cancel the subscription anytime through your App Store subscriptions.

Lifetime Access

Lifetime Access is a one-time purchase. It never expires and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to manage. It works on every device signed into the same Apple ID, and it is shared with your family the same way the subscription is.

There is no free trial on Lifetime Access. Apple's free trials only work on subscriptions. If you want to try Pro first, start the 7-day trial, turn off auto-renew, and buy Lifetime Access while the trial is still running.

If you already subscribe, Settings → Subscription has a Lifetime Access row that opens a screen showing the one-time purchase on its own. While your subscription is set to auto-renew, the buy button there is turned off, so you don't end up paying for both. That screen has a Manage Subscription button; turn auto-renew off through it and the buy button becomes available. The time you already paid for runs out as normal.

Settings → Subscription

The Subscription section in Settings shows your current status on the right side of the header and gives you one of three action buttons depending on where you are. If you're in trial or paid, a Lifetime Access row sits below that button and opens a screen with just the one-time purchase on it. Restore Purchases and Redeem Code come last.

Status

  • Free: no Pro entitlement.
  • Trial · renews {date}: in the free trial, set to auto-renew into a paid subscription on the date shown.
  • Trial · expires {date}: in the free trial, but auto-renew is off, so Pro ends on the date shown.
  • Active · renews {date}: paid and renewing on the date shown.
  • Active · expires {date}: paid but auto-renew is off, so Pro ends on the date shown.
  • Expired · last active {date}: no Pro entitlement; previously had one until the date shown.
  • Lifetime: a one-time purchase, with no expiration.

Buttons

  • Start Free Trial: shown when you're Free and eligible for the 7-day trial. Opens the subscription sheet.
  • Get Pro: shown when you're Free but no longer trial-eligible (you've used your trial). Opens the subscription sheet, where both the subscription and Lifetime Access are on offer.
  • Manage Subscription: shown when you're in trial or paid. Opens Apple's subscription-management UI where you can cancel, change plan, or update your payment method.
  • Lifetime Access: shown when you're in trial or paid. Opens a screen showing only the one-time purchase, so you can switch to it without the annual plan you already have sitting on top of it.
  • Restore Purchases: restores Pro on a new device or after a reinstall, using your Apple ID.
  • Redeem Code: for App Store promo or offer codes.

With Lifetime Access, the section shows the status alone. There are no buttons below it: nothing to subscribe to or manage, nothing left to restore on a device already showing it, and no codes to redeem against it.

On Mac (the Designed-for-iPad version of HomeMapper), Manage Subscription and Redeem Code aren't available in-app. Use the App Store app on Mac to manage your subscription or redeem a code.
